The State minister for education, Hon. Peter Ogwang has vowed to investigate the circumstances under which the She Cranes travelled to Kenya by road.
Through his X-handle, Ogwang said that he had been informed by the National Council of Sports that the team was fully facilitated by the government, which raises questions.

The She Cranes were over the weekend crowned the 2026 African netball champions after holding their nerve to overcome South Africa’s SPAR Proteas 56–53 in the final played at the Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi.
The Uganda women netball side finished the tournament unbeaten.
Malawi and Namibia, who finished third and fourth respectively, earned invitations from World Netball to compete at the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney, Australia, joining Uganda and South Africa at the global showpiece.
Uganda and South Africa had already secured their places last year through their World Netball rankings.
