Vipers SC fans from Kampala, Wakiso, Mukono and Mpigi turned up at the Vipers Stadium in Kitende on Saturday to attend the final of the eighth edition of the Vipers SC supporters’ tournament.
Kisozi FC won the eighth edition of the Vipers Fans Cup after defeating Atalanta Sports Agency 1–0. The tournament final was held at the St Mary’s stadium in Kitende.
The third-place playoff was contested between ABC and Eden Church FC, with ABC winning 2–1.
In the final, Kisozi FC faced Atalanta Sports Agency. The match ended 1–0 in favour of Kisozi. The game entertained the spectators, with both teams displaying impressive football skills.
After the match, there was an awards ceremony for the players and teams that had performed well in the tournament. The ceremony was presided over by the chairman of the Vipers supporters, George Mulindwa.
Dr. Mulindwa thanked all the teams that participated in the tournament.
Mulindwa also explained the purpose of the tournament, saying that it is intended to bring Vipers supporters together and also identify exceptional talent.
Afterwards, Dr. Mulindwa introduced the supporters to the newly constructed modern bar and restaurant at the stadium. He decided to treat all the supporters to drinks and food that had been prepared for the occasion.
Kisozi FC, the tournament winners, received Shs3m a cow, set of jersey and balls.
