The Parliamentary Golf Team has continued its Corporate Golf Series, facing off with the Uganda People’s Defence Forces at the Uganda Golf Club.
The tournament promotes networking, wellness, and camaraderie through sports.
A total of 28 golfers were in action with Parliament fielding 12 players against 16 from the UPDF.
UPDF emerged victorious with a total score of 325 points while Parliament managed 305 points.
UPDF’s General Michael Kabango was the standout performer with an impressive 43 points as the overall highest scorer of the tournament. For Parliament, Hon. JB Tumusiime led the charge with 42 points.
UPDF team was led by national team coach coach Flavia Namakula, Maj. Dr. Bob Drani, Gen. Michael Kabango and Aggrey Mutaka while parliament had among others Kilak County MP Gilbert Oulanya, Hon. JB Tumusiime, Hon. Kinyamatama Ssubi and Parliament Ladies Captain Hon. Patience Nkunda.
The parliament of Uganda started the corporate golf tournaments in conjunction with Equity bank with the inaugural outing happening at the Entebbe golf . The move aims at strengthening working relations, connections and healthy living.
