Prize money increase reboots Hamz Cup competition

Team managers of the teams participating in the 2026 Hamz Cup football tournament have praised organizer Dr. Hamis Kiggundu for the prize money increase.

Tournament coordinator Hakim Kasirye delivered the news – breaking the social media into delight.

“The Hamz Group of companies CEO Hajji Hamis Kigundu has confirmed the increase on the prize money with the winner now going to get Shs50m,” Kasirye announced.

This year;s tournament has seen a great increase in both competition and fans turn up with five teams leading the pack for the team with the biggest fan base prize.

TikTok, Arsenal fans Uganda, Manchester United fans, Buganda Kombucha and La Prince, are creating the much-needed vibe in the tournament played at the Hamz stadium, Nakivubo.

It is now confirmed that the winner will take Shs50m, while the runners up will have Shs25m cash prize.

The third and fourth will get shs20 and Shs15m respectively while the 5th to the 8th will also have a cash prize not less thanShs10m.

The team with the most vibrant fans has Shs1m at stake and so is the most valuable player while the best goalkeeper and fair-play team get Shs500000 respectively.

Action continues this Friday with two games. Bakuli car dealers face Best of the Best before Life team take on Ngeye transporters.
