Uganda Cranes debutant Sammy Ssebadduka says that it was hard work that enabled him be summoned for national duty.
Ssebadduka is part of the summoned 28-man squad currently in Morocco preparing for the two upcoming friendly games on June 5th and 8th June against Tanzania and Madagascar respectively.

“I feel great and it is nice to be here. It is always an honor to represent Uganda. I am very happy and I am thankful to the coaches and staff for trusting me and believing in my abilities to be here,” noted the KCCA midfielder after the team’s recovery session, who reiterated his desire to work hard and prove himself.
Ssebadduka scored six times in the concluded 2025/26 Uganda premier league. He will hope to impress head coach Paul Put for a chance in the midfield that has among others Travis Mutyaba, Rogers Mato, Allan Okello, Karim Watambala and James Bogere.
The Cranes squad for the two friendly games is dominated by local players with regular faces including captain Khalid Aucho, Toby Sibbick (not 100% fit), Elio Capradossi, Nafian Alionzi and Jude Ssemugabi (injured) left all left out
