Ahead of the friendly match against Rwanda tonight, Uganda Silverbacks head coach Mandy Juruni has expressed strong optimism following the squad’s opening training session, highlighting a renewed focus on tactical execution, physical conditioning, and team synergy.

Juruni noted that the initial practice session laid crucial groundwork for the team’s upcoming campaign, particularly in dissecting offensive breakdowns and building on-court chemistry.

The camp in Rwanda received a major boost with the arrival of team captain Robinson Opong Odoch, taking the number of players in camp to 10. Only Marvin Musiime and Sebande Dejur are yet to report.

The friendly against Rwanda will serve as a foundational baseline for the team as they fine-tune their tactical blueprint ahead of upcoming competitive engagements, including the FIBA World Cup African Qualifiers.
