Leader of delegation to Morocco and FUFA Executive committee member Rogers Mulindwa believes that the two friendly matches lined up will help Uganda Cranes head coach Paul Put to evaluate player performance, test the tactics and build the team chemistry because these players do not stay together for long.

“So, when you want to see their capacities, how best they have improved and areas that need help, you automatically need these friendlies,” noted Mulindwa.

The Uganda Cranes delegation safely touched down at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca on Monday before proceeding to set up camp in Marrakech where they got camped at the Adam Park Hotel as preparations continue.

Uganda Cranes is set to play two international friendlies against Tanzania and Madagascar, respectively in Morocco and Mulindwa says that 75% of the summoned players are in Morocco with the rest expected on Tuesday and Wednesday latest.

Head Coach Paul Put named a 28-man squad for two international friendly matches to be played in Marrakech, Morocco this month.

Uganda takes on Tanzania on 5th June 2026 before facing Madagascar on 8th June 2026 as preparations continue for upcoming international assignments leading to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
