The 2026 Uganda boxing federation champions league is set to commence this Saturday at Club Obligato with 27 confirmed bouts on the card.
The much-anticipated season has been spiced up with the introduction of fans’ incentives, including a chance to win a brand-new car for the VIP ticket entrants.

According to the Uganda boxing federation president Moses Muhangi, there is need for renewed energy despite the fact that the competition is the biggest crowd-pulling boxing event and one of the best in Ugandan sport currently.
“Our fans have been amazing for all the past season and we need to find a way of appreciating them, motivating them and of course ensuring renewed energy. Our fan base has grown over time but we want to grow the sport even bigger in terms of brand and crowds,” he said.
“We shall have winners per fight night and season winners. There will be cash and items for winners after every raffle draw,” revealed Muhangi.

Organized by TopBoy promotions on behalf of the Uganda boxing federation, the boxing champions league is the prime competition of the Uganda boxing federation from which the national team boxers are selected.
The competition climaxes in December on Boxing Day with the champions in each weight category taking home a title belt while the boxers are given cash purses per fight night.
The competition has become a top source of revenue for many persons in the fraternity, away from the boxers and coaches.
