Uganda Cranes team dominated by local-based players left for Morocco on Monday morning for two international friendlies against Tanzania and Madagascar.

The players including on-form Young Africans playmaker Allan Okello, best Uganda premier league goalkeeper of the season Hannington Sebwalunyo, Hearts forward Rogers Mato, Vipers SC starboy Usama Arafat among others left Entebbe International with smiles.
Uganda Cranes Head Coach Paul Put named a 28-man squad for two international friendly matches to be played in Marrakech, Morocco next month.
Some regular players like Toby Sibbick (not 100% fit), Elio Capradossi, Nafian Alionzi and Jude Ssemugabi (injured) were left out.
“This squad also includes some new names, including local players who have shown their potential and talent this year. I want to give them a chance,” Put told FUFA media.

Uganda will face Tanzania on 5th June 2026 before taking on Madagascar on 8th June 2026 as preparations continue for upcoming international assignments leading to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, which will be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
The summoned squad includes a blend of experienced players and emerging talent drawn from clubs across Uganda, Africa, Europe and the United States of America.
