Rally drivers and riders are for the Sunday sprint at the Victoria Raceway in Garuga. The event launched yesterday promises action-packed competition with more than 40 drivers expected to take part alongside the country’s top motocross riders.
Event Manager Joe Burua emphasized that safety remains the top priority, noting that the championship will also serve as a platform to reinforce safety awareness among all motorsport stakeholders.
This will be the first Rally Sprint organized by the Uganda Rally Drivers Association (URDA) in partnership with the Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU).
Ronald Sebuguzi, Ponsiano Lwakataka, Isaac Ssozi, Didas Masiko, Julius Semambo, Umar Dauda, Jonas Matayo Kansiime and Musa Lumala Jr are among the top drivers that have confirmed participation while the list of top riders includes Gift Sebuguzi, Shafiwu Mululi, the Katende brothers, Solomon Winyi and Israel Mpuuga.
