It is all set for the 2025 Rugby Africa Cup kick off this Tuesday July 8th at the Namboole stadium.
The eight participating nations had their captains’ runs on Monday for 45 minutes each on the main pitch.
Zimbabwe began the day’s activities followed by Morocco, Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, and Namibia in hourly slots.
Hosts Uganda and Kenya closed the day ahead of the much anticipated showdown that will feature a knockout format from July 8 to 20th.
Participating nations include Uganda, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Algeria, Kenya, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, and Senegal with the winner earning direct qualification to the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.

Match Day 1 will feature all four quarterfinals, headlined by hosting Uganda taking on regional rivals Kenya at 4PM.
The importance of the tournament is further underscored by the arrival of the Webb Ellis Cup, the official men’s Rugby World Cup trophy, now in Uganda for a historic three-day tour from July 6 to 8.
The President of the Republic of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni hosted the delegation from World Rugby, Uganda Rugby Union, and Rugby Afrique at State House as part of the Webb Ellis Cup tour in Uganda.
