The Namibia prime minister Dr. Tjitunga Elijah Ngurare has praised businessman Dr. Hamis Kiggundu for the tremendous redevelopment of Hamz Nakivubo stadium to the international standards.
Elijah made the remarks on his visit to the facility as part of his engagements during his visit to Uganda for the presidential swearing-in ceremony.

The Prime minister was escorted by the Namibia Consul to Uganda and businessman Godfrey Kirumira, Hon. Jane Ruth Aceng – the minister of health and other dignitaries.
Dr Hamis Kiggundu, who has huge business ties and investments in Namibia, appreciated the prime minister for the courtesy call.
“I am impressed that the government here believes in you and they kind of listen to you and through your hard work and creativity you have made such out of it,” he remarked.
Dr. Hamis told the Prime minister that the president is very supportive of ideas that can lead to social, economic transformation.
“The president is very supportive. Here we got the support of the president fully, especially for this stadium. It had a lot of people who tried to fight it.”

Hamis noted that some negative thinking Ugandans believe in foreigners doing such developments and if it is their own, they fight.
“We need to attack the mind to do away with the negative thinking. Right now, I am developing a channel but they are making political rather than developmental yet it has turned into a hub of employment for many Ugandans and it is Ugandans using them,” Dr. Hamis added.
Dr. Tjitunga also hailed Hajji Hamis for his book “success based on reason and reality” which he says is a game changer in terms of mindset change for Africans.
“If we successfully attack the mind, we can have transformation. The main issue is the mind, especially the youth. And for me, I set up a trend, I stopped talking, I just show,” noted Dr. Ham.
The Prime minister asked Dr. Hamis to partner with the government of Namibia and establish such a facility in his country.
“Let’s dream for Namibia to have something like this, we have made a budget available, the problem is to start.”

Nakivubo stadium marked 100 years on 1st April and for long, the Stadium has served as the home for national football teams since its inception.
