The motorsports fraternity heads to Gulu this weekend for the 6th national calendar event.
The event organized by the central motorsport club (CMC) will however run as the 5th event following the postponing of the UMC Fort portal rally due to the death of Omukama Oyo Kabamba Iguru.

The Gulu event will once again be dedicated to the former CMC Patron and driver Rajiv Ruparelia who passed away on 3rd May in a fatal motor accident aged 35 years.
To extend Rajiv’s legacy, the Ruparelia foundation is going to donate to Luwero girls primary school in support of the girl child.
This charity event, organized in partnership with TT drags and drifts Uganda will be done on October 8th enroute to Gulu.
Sheena Ruparelia, a Ruparelia group trustee and sister to the late Rajiv attended the charity event launch at the Kabira country club on Tuesday.
“I am coming to learn that the motorsport fraternity largely loved Rajiv. Such events do not only bring people together to have fun, but also to give back. The charity chosen is close to my heart – supporting the girl child to continue with their education -respecting the challenges they go through and of course doing something about it is great to us. So, Rajiv legacy will continue to live on,” noted Sheena.

The launch was also attended among others Simon Ndagga, the Luwero Girls primary school deputy head teacher and Bob Muyanja – the TT drags and drifting CEO.
The CMC club will also donate items to the Gulu disabled persons union on Independence Day.
