Uganda golf club looked red throughout the week as the ABSA Chairman’s Bell Tournament took center stage.
Grace Kasango emerged as the professional champion after defeating Ronald Rugumayo in a dramatic 3-hole playoff. Both players finished regulation on 10-under-par, but Kasango sealed victory to lift the title, beating over 400 golfers that took part.

Joseph Kasozi claimed the Men’s Gross Amateur title, while Judith Komugisha won the Women’s Gross Amateur crown.
The newly introduced caddies’ tournament was won by Basil Akinoi and Joweria Namanda in men and women respectively.
Annitah Ampaire won the ladies’ nett title with an impressive nett score of 62, while Steven Wanock claimed the men’s nett crown with 65.
Samuel Mbugua Kinyanjui captured the Kitante Cup title while Ibrahim Bagalana was crowned Club Champion ahead of Joseph Cwinyaii.

The bank supported the tournament with UGX 185 million title sponsorship package, marking their eighth consecutive year title sponsorship.
The tournament attracted over 400 participants, including 32 professional golfers, 58 gross amateurs, and 71 caddies who competed in the newly introduced caddie’s category.
A total prize kitty of UGX 28 million was awarded to top performing players across all categories.
