The Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) successfully held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at FUFA Hotel, Kisaasi on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 with stakeholders in youth football coming together to deliberate on the development and future of the game.

The major highlight of the AGM was the re-election of Roberts Kiwanuka as the chairman unopposed for another term.
Speaking after the re-election, Kiwanuka promised to continue building on the work he started and to take youth football development to greater heights.
“I will start from where I started and continue working with all stakeholders to develop and strengthen youth football,” said, who is also the Rays of Grace academy director.
In the same way, Kiwanuka named Twinbrook Sports Academy Director, Hajji Jaffer Ssenganda, was named vice chairman administration while ten new academies were admitted.
The AGM was also attended by FUFA Executive Committee Member Ronald Barente

Barente commended the efforts being made by youth football stakeholders towards the development of youth football and emphasised the importance of strong leadership, proper governance and collaboration among stakeholders in nurturing the next generation of footballers.
