The Ankole Cup returned over the weekend with five exciting fixtures at different grounds. The thrilling action has attracted growing crowds on each passing weekend. This has come with increased gate collections that help the hosting sides in expense management.
These expenses further surpass collections from several Uganda premier league matches.

As matchday four took center stage, Ibanda District topped the statistics for gate collections with Shs10.4m. This was however, far less than the Shs18m collected when they hosted Kazo on Match Day one.
Ntungamo came second with Shs10m but still less than the Shs15m they collected when they hosted Bushenyi two weeks ago.
Mitooma district made an improvement in gate collections, collecting Shs6.5m compared to the Shs6.3m they got when they hosted Buhweju.
Whereas other districts chargeShs5000 entrance fees, Mitooma charges Shs3000 hence posting far less cash via total gate collections.

Meanwhile Clinton Kamugisha scored a brace as Mbarara City beat Rwampara 3-0 as action returned over the weekend. Gerald Ogwet added the other goal for the visitors.
In the other Saturday game, Kashari beat Isingiro 1-0, thanks to Herbert Asiimwe’s goal.
On Sunday, Ntungamo beat Sheema 1-0 with Elvis Sekajugo scoring the only goal of the match, Ibanda and Kiruhura drew 1-1 with Ashraf Mugume and Atuhairwe innocent scoring for the sides while Mitooma And Rubirizi settled for a barren stalemate.

Action returns this weekend with two fixtures on Saturday and three on Sunday. Rubirizi takes on Buhweju while Kiruhura hosts Kazo on Saturday.
In the Sunday fixtures, Bushenyi hosts Ntungamo, Isingiro visits Mbarara City while Rwampara hosts Kashari.
