The 2026 Dwog Pacu Cup has been launched, promising bigger and more competitive football spectacle aimed at nurturing talent, promoting unity, and strengthening cultural identity across the Lango Sub-region.

The launch, held in Lira City, brought together football stakeholders, sponsors, and sports enthusiasts who hailed the tournament’s growing impact on grassroots football and community development.
The Dwog Pacu Cup, whose name translates as “Come Back Home,” was established to reconnect talented footballers with their roots while creating a platform for identifying and nurturing young players from across Lango.
The inaugural edition attracted 21 teams from constituencies across the sub-region and culminated in Kioga County lifting the maiden trophy after defeating Lira City West in the final.
The second edition will build on the success of the inaugural competition by expanding opportunities for young players, strengthening partnerships, and increasing community participation.
