Uganda is set to compete at the forthcoming 2025 Africa Zone 3 Boxing championship due 15th-25th of this month in Nairobi, Kenya.

A team of 16, including five female boxers leaves this Thursday, 14th October, 2025 at the National council of sports in Lugogo.
Kassim Murungi has been selected to lead the charges in Kenya as the team captain.
“I am glad that I was chosen to lead the team. We are ready and determined to return home with victory. The good thing all of us have been active in the boxing champions league and it has been a while without us boxing in the national colors. So, we are going every chance well,”noted Murungi.
Uganda will join hosts Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, Gabon, Congo Brazzaville, Central African Republic (CAR) and Cameroon at the championship sanctioned by the the African Boxing Confederation (ABC) and the International Boxing Association (IBA).
Brenda Muduwah, Angel Katushabe, Fatuma Nabikolo, Erina Namutebi and Emily Tina Nakalema are the female boxers on the team.
The men boxers include Emmanuel Tabula Tusabe and Aziz Ringo, Samuel Ochen, Alfred Ojok, Alex Kanaabi, Edward Mukwaya, Farahat Maninora, Jimmy Adiko, captain Kassim Murungi, Livingstone Matovu and Ahmed Kato Kazibwe who are all products of the Uganda boxing champions league.
