Kyaka beat Fort Portal City 2-0 in the final to win the 4th edition of the MTN Tooro Amasaza cup while Fortportal City beat Mwenge 40-38 to become the inaugural netball champions.
The final held at St. Paul Major Seminary in Kinyamasika – Fort Portal was witnessed by Omukama Oyo Nyimba Kabamba Iguru and Princess Nsemere Komuntale.
Omukama arrived at 4.40pm and was later joined by his sister princess Komuntale.
With just 20 minutes of play, Kyaka drew the first blood to take a 1-0 first half lead.
On the return, Kyaka scored the second to stretch the lead beyond Fort Portal City’s reach.
This is Kyaka’s second title, and the victory guaranteed them Shs12m from prime sponsors MTN Uganda.
Last year’s champions, Burahya beat Mwenge South 1-0 to finish 3rd.
In netball, Fort Portal beat Mwenge 40-38 in the final to become the inaugural netball winners.
