The title belts for this year’s champions in the Uganda boxing champions league have arrived, this website can confirm.
The belts, revealed by the Uganda boxing federation (UBF) president Moses Muhangi were imported from the United Kingdom and will be officially launched before the end of this month.
“The quality of boxing continues to improve, and the quality belts reflect the value and prestige we want to attach to our champions,” Muhangi said.
The belts arrived days to the week 14 action this Saturday at the Lugogo arena where over 20 bouts are scheduled on the card.
In the much-anticipated weekend action sponsored by Sting energy drink, Mawanda Depark from East Coast boxing club takes on Bashir Serugo from Lukanga boxing club in the light middleweight (71kg) five-rounds main fight.
Reagan Musoke, Mawanda Frank, Ashraf Demilire, Mawanda Shafik, Swalah Halima are some of the other boxers to look out for in action.
The 2026 Uganda Boxing Champions League Season Five officially got underway on Saturday, May 9, at Club Obligato and will climax on Boxing day at a venue yet to be confirmed.
