The management of Hamz Nakivubo stadium has undertaken the renovation of the netball and basketball courts.
The earlier concrete floor has been turned to asphalt in response to the players’ complaint of a slippery surface.
The stadium is home to the national netball league and the lower basketball divisions. It has also hosted different corporate organizations and government agencies as well as international sports competitions.

Meanwhile, registration for Hamz Cup football tournament season two is underway. The online registration is expected to attract a good number of teams. The first edition was won by Arrows FC who defeated Kafumbe 1 FC 1-0 in the final played in December last year.
The inaugural winners took home Shs50m while the runners had Shs25m. The third and fourth side got Shs15m and Shs10m respectively on top of numerous individual awards.
