The Uganda sporting fraternity is mourning the passing of a renowned sports journalist Ali Ssewanyana. The broadcaster breathed his last at Lugazi regional hospital yesterday after a long battle with liver complications.
Ssewanyana was a guest panelist at Sanyuka Prime, he also worked at Radio Simba, pearl FM and Voice of Bugerere online.

Uganda boxing federation president Moses Muhangi, Uganda Olympic committee president Donald Rukare among other sports adminstrators, joined the USPA president Moses Al Sayed Lubega and the sports media to mourn the down to earth scribe who passionately committed himself to growing local sport.
Ssewanyana who was known as Octopus in the betting community was laid to rest today in Malongo -Kyazanga, Masaka district.
