Vipers SC co- coach Fred Muhumuza has been named as the Uganda Cranes assistant coach to this year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Muhumuza takes over from Sam Ssimbwa, having impressed Paul Put at the recent CHAN tournament in Kampala. Muhumuza and Morley Byekwaso handled the CHAN Uganda Cranes team with Put as their supervisor.

Ssimbwa has been part of Put’s staff since he was appointed as the national team coach. The Belgian renewed his contract until 2018 recently.
