The National resistance movement (NRM) has dropped Hon. Moses Magogo from the parliamentary Budget Committee where he has been a member for the past five years.
Magogo, also husband to embattled former Speaker Anita Among, has been redesignated to the Human Rights Committee.
The Federation of Uganda football associations (FUFA) president also chaired the ICT and National Guidance Committee before he was dropped in 2024.

Another key sports figure dropped from the Budget Committee is Patrick Isiagi, the Kachumbala County legislator, who is an uncle to former Speaker Anita Among.
A staunch football fan and investor, Isiagi is the director of Amus College school, a sports powerhouse – who lifted the national schools title In Lira this year.
During their time at the budget committee, Magogo and Isiagi, together with former Speaker Among, are credited for the rise of the sports budget allocations which brings uncertainty to the sports enthusiasts.
Meanwhile, the embattled former Speaker Anita Among has been designated to the Committee on Government Assurance, where the Opposition designated Francis Zaake (Mityana Municipality) has been designated as Chairperson, with Anna Adeke (Soroti Woman MP) designated as Vice Chairperson of the same Committee.

Among is another huge sports investor through her Bukedea Comprehensive school school that has granted many vulnerable talented children with scholarships, just like Amus College.
Parliament has 1thirteen standing committees and eleven sectoral committees. These committees are responsible for budgets, bills, oversight, reports, public accountability and scrutiny.
