After SC Villa confirmed Kovacevic Zeljiko as their new head coach on Monday, July 1st, details on the other members of the technical staff have emerged.
According to a highly placed source in the club, the Serbian will work with local coaches as his assistants.
Before confirming the entire technical team, TheSportsTorch.ug has gathered that the new coach will reportedly be joined by former players Denis Onyango, Godfrey Walusimbi and Hakim Ssenkumba.

The trio will help the club during the player trials with Hakim Ssenkumba destined to be named the new youth team coach.
“Senkumba will handle the junior side while Onyango will only guide in player trials. Jajja Walu is likely to stay as part of the technical team,” revealed the source.
The record 17-time champions who finished the season a distant 6th place as Vipers SC won the title last season, started their pre-season training on Monday, June 1st at East High school, Ntinda.

Strength and Conditioning coach Ram Nyakana oversaw the session in the absence of a substantive head coach following the departure of Morley Byekwaso at the end of last season and the subsequent club’s failure to agree terms with Serbian Nemanja Milincic despite photos of his unveiling.
Eight players missed the Monday training as they are part of the Uganda Cranes preparing for next month’s CHAN tournament in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
The 2025/26 Uganda premier league season is expected to kick off on September 26, with fixtures expected to be released on August 26 while the FUFA Super 8 tournament is set to run from September 7-17.
