The Federation of Motorsport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) will use the fifth round of the Mountain Dew National Motocross Championship as a platform for junior riders to assess their preparedness ahead of the 2026 FIM Junior Motocross World Championship.

Uganda has already selected nine riders to represent the country at the world championship, scheduled for July 4 and 5, 2026, at the Motocross Area Jinín Circuit in Czech Republic.
The championship round is scheduled for Sunday, June 14, at Victoria Raceway, Garuga is expected to attract the country’s top riders, all competing for places on the national team.
The outing will also be used to select riders for the national team that will represent Uganda at the 2026 FIM Africa Motocross of African Nations in Namibia.
Riders will battle for crucial points and impress the national selectors as FMU finalizes the squad for the continental championship scheduled to take place from August 28 to 30, 2026, at the Gallina Motocross Track in Windhoek.
Uganda will be looking to reclaim the African title, having last won the championship in 2012.
