
The Uganda national men’s handball team (The Nile Kings) has arrived in Rwanda for the Africa cup of nations handball championship due January 19th to February 2nd in Kigali.
In a contingent of 24, including 17 players and seven officials, the team left for Rwanda on Monday. It is under the guidance of head coach Orotin Jimmy and Francis Ongom as the captain.
This marks Uganda’s historic debut at the continental final showpiece – which is a major milestone for the sport in the country and the region. The Nile Kings are placed in group B alongside Egypt, Angola and Gabon.
The championship has attracted 16 nations divided into four groups.
