Students from Makerere University and Kyambogo University have participated in the Climate Change Awareness Run and Walk to mark the World Car-Free Day – promoting sustainable mobility and climate action.
Under the theme: ‘Mobility for a Green and Sustainable Future’, participants took on 10km and 5km routes through Kampala, starting from Makerere University’s Freedom Square.
This event highlighted the role of young people in driving innovation and championing climate justice through active engagement and environmentally conscious choices.
