
The National council of sports has finally confirmed a new Assistant general secretary in charge of technical. Milton Chebet has been named to replace David Katende who bid farewell last year in November after clocking retirement age.
Katende has served in the council for over 13 years and was one of the longest servants at the sport governing body by the time of his exit.
Chebet who has over 20 years of in sports management experience holds a Master’s in Sports Science and has previously lectured at Kyambogo University and Kabale University.
With over 20 years of sports management experience, Chebet replaces Sarah Chelangat, who has been serving in the acting capacity.
He joins Joseph Oluga, the assistant General secretary in charge of administration. The duo will deputize General Secretary Dr. Bearnard Patrick Ogwel, who was also recently accorded a five-year term extension.
