Kampala Hockey Club (KHC) officially launched a two-year Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partnership on Wednesday, 22nd January 2026 with the Uganda Child Cancer Foundation (UCCF) at the Uganda Cancer Institute, reinforcing the club’s commitment to creating meaningful social impact beyond the hockey pitch.

The partnership, which will run initially for the next two years, aims to support children undergoing cancer treatment through awareness, advocacy, and direct support initiatives led jointly by Kampala Hockey Club and Uganda Child Cancer Foundation.
The launch event brought together representatives from both organizations, healthcare professionals, club members, and supporters, united by a shared mission to improve the lives of children affected by cancer.
Over the next two years, KHC will engage its players, supporters, and partners in initiatives designed to raise awareness about childhood cancer, mobilize resources, and provide meaningful support to children and families receiving care at the Uganda Cancer Institute.
Uganda Child Cancer Foundation welcomed the partnership, highlighting the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the challenges faced by children with cancer in Uganda.
The two-year collaboration will help amplify awareness, strengthen community support, and contribute to improved care and outcomes for young patients.

There will be planned outreach activities, fundraising initiatives, hospital visits, and awareness campaigns integrated into Kampala Hockey Club’s sporting calendar.
The launch that symbolizes a shared commitment to hope, resilience, and solidarity with children battling cancer across Uganda, KHC was represented by its Chairman, Richard Ssemwogerere, while the Foundation was represented by Moses Echodu, the Executive Director.
