The head of the office of the national resistance movement (NRM) National chairman Hajjat Hadija Namyalo has assured ghetto boxers of president Museveni’s support to grow their talents.

Nyamyalo made the reiteration while eulogising the late national team boxer Alex Kanaabi, who she has been supporting in his boxing. Kanaabi has been laid to rest last Friday in Masaka following his death on Thursday morning.
“We really ost a huge talent. One of these boxers whom we thought would soon be representing the country internationally. He has gone at the time he had hit the best of his career. As the ONC office, we shall visit the bereaved family and see how to support them. We pray for the family and the boxing colleagues. We share their pain and pray that our champion rests in eternal peace,” she noted.
As a boxing fan, Namyalo has been the main financier of the late Kanaabi as one of the talents from Nakawa division where the office of the NRM national chairman is located.
“They came to my office as a group. Kanaabi was one the many ghetto youths that I transformed from the radical opposition politics to supporting the NRM. I always support them in whatever small capacity I can and I am proud of seeing many growing in their boxing careers,” added Namyalo, who has also made time to come and cheer on the boys at the Lugogo arena.

She says that president Museveni is ready to help ghetto talents, especially boxers only that on many occasions he has been presented with disguised ghetto youths by self-seekers.
“We shall continue supporting ghetto talents, especially boxers. I urge them not to lose hope, let them vote for president in the upcoming general elections to continue supporting the First Lady Janet Museveni to develop sports,” noted Namyalo, who is the most common face supporting talented ghetto youths.
Away from the late Kanaabi, Namyalo has supported and rewarded several other boxers in the boxing champions league as well as proffesionals.
