Peace Hellen delivered the standout performance at the February MTN Monthly Tee over the weekend, carding a superb net score of 62 to emerge overall winner from a field of 124 golfers.

Playing off handicap 21, Peace Hellen outpaced the rest of the field with the lowest net return of the day, underlining a consistent and composed round that set her apart in a competitive tournament.
“It started ok, it is only that when we reahed in the middle of the dgame – back 9, it rained on us but at the end of it we kept our heads down and we made sure that we played a good game,” noted Peace.
In the guest category, Mark Mutungi, playing off handicap 16, returned a net score of 72 to claim top honours. The seniors’ prize for players aged 55 and above went to George Afimani, whose net 73 off handicap 21 proved enough to secure victory in the division.

The ladies’ competition produced strong scores across both groups. In Group A, Jovia Tugume, playing off handicap 16, posted a net 68 to take the win, while Maxi Byenkya finished runner-up on net 74. Group B was tightly contested, with Irene Zulu Chabala, handicap 36, winning on countback after returning net 72, edging out Nice Janda, who also signed for net 72 but settled for runner-up spot.
The men’s categories were equally competitive. In Group A, Peter Apell, playing off handicap 9, claimed victory with a net 70, ahead of Joseph Galiwango, handicap 6, who returned net 76. Group B honours went to Stephen Paul Ojambo with a net 70 off handicap 15, narrowly ahead of Michael Monne, handicap 16, who carded net 71.
In Group C, Andrew Bugembe stood out with a net 65 off handicap 24 to win the group, while Kenneth Kiddu followed closely with net 66 off handicap 22.
The tournament is bankrolled by MTN Uganda and broadcast on NBS Sport.
