The 2025 FUFA Delegates assembly that sat at the Hoima resort on Saturday confirmed Dr. Taibu Aza as the new FUFA second Vice president, replacing late Darius Mugoye who passed away in 2023.

The academician who has been the FUFA judicial commission chairperson represents the Uganda women football association in the FUFA assembly.
“The road ahead is a little interesting but big to fill. I will try hard to support the structures and governance to make sure that we grow the game in this country. My commitment and promise is to work hand in hand with the president to ensure that we achieve the growth of the game,” Dr. Aza noted after the assembly.
The lawyer by training joins Agnes Mugena and third Vice president Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi as the women on the executive committee.

FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo revealed that it is FUFA’s interest to have more women in the game. “We are bringing Dr. Aza, a PHD holder, a person of integrity, who has been around football in that capacity of judicial bodies. We believe that she is tested and tried and her addition is definitely going to make us better,” revealed Magogo.
Uganda beach soccer association chairman Deo Mutabazi and BUL FC chairman Ronald Barente also joined the executive committee that was increased by two to 17 members after amendments.
Other Executive committee members include; 1st Vice president Justus Mugisha, Rogers Byamukama, Rasoul Ariga, Isa Magoola, Dan Obote, Frank Ankunzire, Dr. Apollo Ahimbisibwe, Rogers Mulindwa and Ronnie Kalema.
