URA Football Club have confirmed that Edward Golola will be the interim coach in charge as the Tax Collectors host new comers Buhimba United Saints this Tuesday at the Hamz Nakivubo in the StarTimes Uganda premier league.
Elevated from the assistant role, Golola takes over from Alex Isabirye who was sacked with his technical staff, with Baker Kasule, Jamil Damba and Patrick Asiku on Monday.
This followed Friday’s 2-1 loss to KCCA that left the club in 11th place with eight points from seven league matches.
Isabirye returned to URA in May 2023 with hopes of restoring consistency but the run of 36 matches delivered 17 wins, nine draws and 10 losses.
Golola who joined URA technical staff in September this year has previously worked at Vipers SC where he won two Uganda Premier League titles.
