HE IS BACK: Kasozi returns to Kitara FC administration

Kitara FC board of directors has appointed Deo Kasozi as the chief community resource mobiliser for a period of two years effective Tuesday, 19, 2025.

In a club statement, signed by interim president, Gilbert Nyaika, the former club president will spearhead the club’s efforts in resource mobilization, strengthening partnerships, as well as driving community engagement programs that will support the growth and sustainability of Kitara FC.  The board is confident that his experience and love for community development will greatly contribute to the continued success of the club both on and off the pitch. On Heroes Day, 9th June 2025, Kasozi officially announced retiring from the club presidency after successful three years at the helm to got to his private football ventures.

During his tenure, Kasozi won the Uganda Cup title, signed top players, led the club to CAF Confederations Cup football, won the FUFA Uganda Cup and saw striker Denis Omedi nominated for FIFA Puskas Award. His return has been joyfully welcomed by Kitara FC fans and Ugandan football.

Meanwhile, Kitara football club have signed Henry Muyomba Musisi from Mbarara city. The versatile defender who can also play as a right back and a centre back penned down a two-year contract with the royals. The Royals also acquired midfielder Amir Kakomo as one of the new faces in the team. Kakomo penned down a two-year employment contract with the Hoima based Royals.

Assistant captain Jasper Aheebwa also extended his stay at the club. The left back will be with the Royals till 2027. Patrick Henry Kaddu also extended his stay at Kitara FC for another two years. The experienced forward has been an integral figure for the Royals since 2023.
