This is the first game of the scheduled double header before 4th placed record 17-time champions SC Villa take on struggling 12th placed URA FC at 8pm. SC Villa, Express FC, KCCA FC, Kitara FC and Vipers SC are the leading local clubs with fans.

According to Lubega Robert, the newly appointed Express FC public relations officer, all the fans wanted was to meet the top leadership of the club.

“The fans wanted to know their status in the running of the club because the leadership was distant from them. It was agreed that the secretariat and leadership will going forward work closely with the fans and I am happy to note that the boycott has ended,” he noted.

The fans leadership had announced the boycott effective 27th November, 2025 due to management’s failure to address complaints raised by the fans.

Top on the list was the players’ poor welfare situation, the alleged match-fixing tendencies in the club among other concerns.

Meanwhile, Express fc has confirmed the departure of four players Richard Basangwa, Muhammad Kagawa, Rashid Kawawa and Hakim Wandera.
