Two-time defending champion Jacob Kiplimo leads the squad as he chases a historic third consecutive senior title after victories in Bathurst in 2023 and Belgrade in 2024.
The long-distance star first announced himself on the global stage when he won the U20 crown on home in 2017.

The men’s team also features Dolphine Chelimo, Dan Kibet, Emmanuel Kibet, Keneth Kiprop and Deogracius Musobo, as the country looks to challenge for both individual and team honours.

Sarah Chelangat headlines the women squad after finishing fifth at the last championships in Belgrade. She will be joined by Joy Cheptoyek, who placed seventh in the 10,000 metres final at the World Championships in Tokyo.

The U20 women’s team includes Charity Cherop, the world U20 5,000 metres bronze medalist, adding further depth to Uganda’s contingent.

Uganda will be aiming to build on its recent success at the championships, with expectations high once again ahead of the Tallahassee event.
