Kampala club squash duo of Aaron Isabirye and Hussemah Ssemakula put up an impressive performance at this year’s Extreme junior squash tournament held at the Parklands sports club in Nairobi, Kenya.

The one-day round-robin tournament held on October 31st saw Isabirye clinch the U11 and U13 boys category titles while Ssemakula came top in the U15 boys category.

The two were under experienced national team coach Kawooya Micheal Raymond.

Due to financial constraints, Uganda was represented by the two players at the tournament that attracted participation in U9-21 categories both boys and girls.

“I am happy with my players’ performance after enduring sixteen hours on the road from Kampala to Nairobi at their age. Uganda has talent but only needs support from the government and other well-wishers,” noted Kawooya.

The trip arrived after Kampala Club Limited joined the global squash fraternity on 10th October 2026 to celebrate World Squash Day, bringing together young players and the squash community to celebrate the passion, talent, discipline and respect that make squash a truly special sport.
