Kawempe Muslim Ladies will host their FUFA Women Super League home games at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende, following the start of construction works at their school playground to upgrade the facility.
Kawempe Muslim head coach Ayub Khalifa says that the target remains the same — to defend their league title.
“I tell my players that for every competition you go in, go with a winning mentality. So, the season target is winning again,”
Ayub believes that playing at Kitende suits the team’s style of football, although the club faces concern over the absence of five key players who are currently in Egypt with Nkumba University for the 12th Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) Games.
“We have a memorandum of understanding with St Mary’s Kitende and Vipers. So, we are actually home and paying at such a good facility will help us play the kind of football style we want,” noted Ayub, who predicted a tough 2026/27 season.
Kawempe Muslim will begin their title defence against Jinja United.
