Newly promoted Uganda premier league side Kigezi homeboys has confirmed the arrival of Kefa Kisala as the assistant coach, joining newly appointed head coach Mutyaba Joseph.
Mutyaba took over from Sadiq Sempigi who guided the side to the top flight and Sempigi has since moved back to the second tier after being unveiled by SC Volcanoes on a one-year deal.
Kisala who will deputise Mutyaba arrives with massive experience in the topflight having managed a number of clubs including among others defunct Masaka LC, BUL, KCCA, UPDF, Express, and Wakiso Giants. The former Uganda Cranes left winger has also been part of the national team technical set up.
In the same way, Kigezi HomeBoyz has announced former Ugandan Prime Minister Amama Mbabazi as the club’s new Patron.

The club says that Mbabazi has “graciously accepted” the role as the Kigezi region-based side continues to strengthen its position on Uganda’s football landscape being the only top-flight club from the Kigezi region to play in the Uganda Premier League in the past 25 years.
Mbabazi’s naming is expected to add further prominence to the club’s efforts to promote football development and youth opportunities in the region.
