FUFA Big league side SC Volcanoes has confirmed the arrival of Sadick Sempigi as their new head coach on a one-year renewable contract.
The move comes as the club intensifies preparations for the second division debut in the upcoming 2026-27 FUFA Big League campaign.
Sempigi joins the Kisoro-based club after an impressive spell with Kigezi HomeBoyz FC, which he guided to a top-four finish in the FUFA Big League and subsequently earning promotion to the Uganda Premier League.
“SC Volcanoes welcomes our new Head Coach, Sempigi Sadick, as we embark on our FUFA Big League journey. We believe his experience, ambition and understanding of the game make him the right person to lead us into this important chapter,” Dr. Martin Mbonye, the Club President remarked.
Sempigi replaces former Uganda Cranes midfielder Patrick Ochan, whose contract expired last season at the conclusion of the Western Regional Football League season where he led SC Volcanoes to an unbeaten campaign, the regional league title and promotion to the FUFA Big League promotion.
Ochan is currently pursuing his CAF-B coaching qualifications.
