There is excitement at Sacred Heart Secondary School as students arrive at the host venue ahead of the 2026 USSSA National Ball Games II.
The arrival of teams from across the country on Wednedsay, July 8th, marked the official commencement of activities before the games officially get underway on Thursday, July 9th.
The first day schedule includes a technical meeting and draws with this year’s edition expected to assemble over 12000 student-athletes competing across 27 disciplines.
Five new disciplinesincluding KhoKho, Kabaddi, Golf, Darts, and Pickleball will debut at the games, joining the other established disciplines including U17 Football and Basketball, U20 Basketball 3×3, DanceSport, and Woodball, alongside U14 CAF Football.
Beach Soccer and Beach Volleyball will also take center stage, alongside Lacrosse, Chess, Ludo, and Scrabble.
Volleyball, Netball (Girls), Cricket, Handball, Athletics & Cross Country, Rugby 7s, Futsal, Baseball and Softball as well as Baseball5 are the other games to look up to.
