The countries expected include among others hosts Uganda, Kenya, Brazil, Israel, India, Egypt, Azerbaijan, Nigeria and Indonesia.

Simon Mugabi, the Badminton Uganda CEO says that this year’s edition has been affected by the Ebola pandemic which caused the withdrawal of a number of countries.

He says that they are ready to adhere to the ministry of health standard operating standards to ensure an Ebola incident free event.

Uganda has only 21 Para Badminton Players despite always fielding the most players since inception in 2017.

Through the nations-wide shuttle time workshops, the federation has spotted talented para players who they hope to grant a platform in the competition.
